Apple Co-founder Wozniak – Bitcoin is Perhaps the Most Incredible Mathematical Marvel

In spite of not being a Bitcoin investor, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has allegedly maintained his supportive position on the cryptocurrency. Wozniak, a staunch supporter of Bitcoin who previously termed it the “sole digital gold,” allegedly described Bitcoin as a “wonder of technology” and a “distinct mathematical formula” at Talent Land Digital 2021, a prominent online conference focused on technology and advancement in Latin America.

As per a story published by El Sol de México on Thursday, the Apple co-founder has also stated that Bitcoin is superior to gold, indicating that mining Bitcoin blocks is simpler than locating and recovering gold:

“Gold is scarce, and you must seek it out. Bitcoin is perhaps the most incredible mathematical marvel ever devised. I don’t invest in Bitcoin, but I trust it will be around for a long time.”

Bitcoin has been dubbed the “digital gold” by several industry leaders and experts since both gold and Bitcoin have a finite quantity, allowing them to command considerable value. While gold is restricted by physical availability and recovery difficulty, Bitcoin mining is restricted at 21 million coins by its code base, implying that after the final coin is generated in 2140, there would be no new Bitcoins.

Wozniak’s comments came after Ricardo Salinas Pliego, Mexico’s third richest man, said it’s “totally fair” to describe Bitcoin as “new gold.” “That’s exactly true, Bitcoin is the new gold,” the billionaire businessman remarked. “Bitcoin is even more transportable than carrying gold bars in your pouch,” he said.

In June 2018, Wozniak made similar remarks about Bitcoin, stating that “only Bitcoin is genuine digital gold.” The computer guru stated that he believes Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who has frequently stated that Bitcoin will become the web’s sole currency.
