Crypto Miner Claims Successful Cracking of Nvidia’s Lite Hash Rate Algo

The developers of the mining program NBMiner seem to have partly circumvented Nvidia’s anti-mining restrictions. In an effort to reduce cryptocurrency mining, Nvidia installed an algorithm called Lite Hash Rate (LHR), on all graphics cards in its RTX 30 series in June.

The kill switch employs both BIOS and driver-linked mining algo to severely decrease mining power by a maximum of 50% of its designed capacity. During the same period, the business alleged that miners were interrupting its distribution chain, causing the value of its graphics cards to rise owing to a lack of availability.

Nvidia focused their gaming user base, saying that “this alternative route will deliver more GeForce GPUs at lower costs into the arms of gamers all over.” According to reports, NBMiner’s latest version was able to circumvent these restrictions and boost the mining capability of certain graphic cards by a maximum of 70%.

The software overhaul is available for both Windows and Linux terminals and allows you to configure backup mining pools. While the program can be freely accessed, miners must send the team an innovation fee ranging between 1% and 3% of their mining income.

For many years, the NB core team has been researching ways to enhance graphic card ability and has vowed to make more advancement in the future. It may not seem significant now, but it will after Ethereum 2.0’s much-awaited proof-of-stake mechanism is activated.
