Amazon to Unveil NFT Platform in April

In April, Amazon plans to introduce a Web3 initiative pertaining to non-fungible tokens. As noted by The Great Whale, Amazon’s webpage will feature a distinct option for the Amazon Digital Marketplace. Customers in the United States will initially have entry to 15 collections, while customers in other nations will be granted access in the future.

The project’s debut has reportedly been delayed twice owing to the circumstance surrounding the FTX cryptocurrency exchange. Andy Jassy, the chief executive officer of Amazon, stated last spring that the company’s portal could facilitate the trading of NFTs in the future. In addition, he emphasized that he anticipates “substantial expansion” in the NFT industry.

Earlier in 2023, there were news reports that the company will launch an NFT-related venture in the spring. In February, Amazon Web Services released a job listing for a Web3 professional.
