In the most recent issue of his journal, Power On, Gurman addresses Apple’s anticipated AR/VR headset, which may be released in early 2019. With this mixed-reality headgear, Apple will create an entirely new market, distinct from its previous endeavors. According to Gurman, the Cupertino behemoth is seeking a “software developer with expertise in visual effects and game asset products,” indicating that the enterprise may be working on “3D content that can be run in virtual space.” Additionally, Apple is seeking programmers who can take a job on the App Intents architecture, creating apps that are compatible with Siri, Shortcuts, and Search.
Nonetheless, one of the more remarkable postings is for an individual who can construct and manage a metaverse-like 3D mixed-reality environment. However, do not anticipate it to be referred to as such, since the market leader dislikes the moniker, probably as it is closely linked with Meta.
