Blockchain Pioneer Dunamu and Hybe Alliance Drive NFT Innovation in Entertainment

Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Korea, has emerged as a prominent force in driving the progress of next-generation technology, particularly in the field of blockchain. The company has positioned itself as a pioneer in the realm of digital assets, leading the way in introducing innovative investment technologies.

In a strategic alliance with Hybe, a renowned entertainment agency managing the globally acclaimed K-pop sensation, BTS, Dunamu has established Levvels, a collaborative venture with a primary focus on creating and releasing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) inspired by the intellectual property of artists associated with the label.

Fans now have the opportunity to acquire digital cards of various artists, known as Take, through the Levvels-operated platform called Momentica. These digital cards showcase frames and scenes that highlight the talents of artists such as Seventeen, Le Sserafim, and Fromis_9. Take operates as a digital identification system within specific boundaries, utilizing the robust security of blockchain technology to safeguard sensitive information and provide a transparent record of transactions.

With collectors holding exclusive content rights to Take, this product represents a progressive step forward from the traditional physical photo cards cherished by passionate music enthusiasts. Since the initial release of Seventeen’s inaugural image card, titled “Dream,” in February, there has been a noticeable surge in new user registrations on Momentica. Specifically, the number of new sign-ups has experienced significant growth of 55 percent compared to the previous month. Simultaneously, the proportion of global participants on the platform has exceeded 60 percent within the same timeframe.

Furthermore, the platform has achieved the highest ranking in the entertainment category of the Japanese app store. The metaverse platform known as 2ndblock serves as another testament to Dunamu’s leadership in technological advancements. Since 2022, the company has been organizing the “2nd Forest” campaign on its platform, simulating a forest environment to raise awareness about the importance of forest conservation.

Moreover, the platform has been used to raise funds for individuals affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey that occurred in February. Prior to disbursing the funds to the Korean Committee for UNICEF, Dunamu successfully gathered bitcoin donations and effectively communicated progress updates on their fundraising efforts through the 2ndblock platform.

Lambda 256, a reputable subsidiary of Dunamu, is wholly dedicated to advancing and innovating cutting-edge blockchain technology. The Luniverse platform is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the digital asset market, leveraging state-of-the-art blockchain technologies such as Luniverse STO, Luniverse NFT, and Luniverse Nova.

In the latter half of 2017, Lambda 256 established a strategic partnership with LG Uplus, a prominent local telecommunications provider. This collaboration was formed with the shared objective of fostering advancements in cutting-edge technologies such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the metaverse, games, art, decentralized financial services, and other related domains.
