The announcement further states that the users of the previous nightly version of Brave Browser will also be able to withdraw their BAT tokens after getting their identity verified by UpHold, a crypto banking startup firm.
Following the verification process, users will also be able to purchase additional BAT tokens and increase their contribution to content creation and maintenance of website by viewing advertisements and paying tips in the form of tokens to content creators using automatic tipping mechanism.
To load funds using any external payment modes such as bank account, credit card or another crypto wallet, users have to verify their identity with UpHold.
In addition, the article also states that UpHold also requires developers to be screened to get paid and unverified content creators are barred from participating in auto-contribute.
Wykoff also acknowledges that this launch— which is not ultimate — poses some basic problems such as the reality that content creators will be able to see the user’s wallet address and Uphold client identity when they obtain a tip, and that only publications with one effective platform will be screened.
Still, it is anticipated that both of these problems will be resolved in August. Finally, other significant problems are that some customers may not be willing to self-tip and that instant payments of reward often do not function properly.
