Input Output Global (IOG), a blockchain-focused research and development business headed by Charles Hoskinson, is in the process of completely implementing a blockchain platform named Midnight. The innovative concept attempts to provide data and information security for both people and businesses. In other terms, Midnight is a data safety-focused blockchain that is driven by Input Output Global (IOG).

While the Midnight blockchain will be responsible for protecting sensitive personal information, it will also allow programmers to create decentralized applications (Dapps) with data-security and privacy-enabled capabilities.
“Midnight will allows programmers to rapidly construct and employ data safety-first DApps utilizing a variety of programming languages, beginning with Typescript. Businesses will be able to communicate mission-critical information without anxiety of breaches or restrictions. In a linked society, people would be able to communicate sensitive data securely,” the researchers stated.
After the partial revelation of the privacy-focused initiative, the Cardano community showed great enthusiasm. While one user suggested that Midnight will be Cardano’s privacy currency, the IOG team said that the initiative is still under advancement and that news on its progression would be provided throughout 2023.
