Chainlink VRF Received Blockchain Certification (GLI-19) from BMM

Chainlink VRF, the blockchain benchmark for verified randomization in gameplay and NFTs, has achieved GLI-19 compliance certification from BMM Testlabs, the company said on Friday. Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) is by far the most frequently utilized random number generator (RNG) in the blockchain space, allowing smart contracts to get random numbers without sacrificing usability or security.

VRF is utilized for issuing new NFTs and generating random in-game functionalities, among other things. Since its inception, VRF has fulfilled a total of 7.9 million calls for randomization. VRF V2 was released in February 2022, lowering transactional costs and enabling smart contract programmers to create the next generation of provably fair and scalable NFT and gaming apps.

Maria Romero, Business Development Manager for iGaming at BMM Testlabs, said, “As the initial blockchain sector certifications, BMM is opening the path for firms creating blockchain-based gaming platforms to get certified in a safe and compliant manner.”

Utilizing licensed random number generator for iGaming apps allows programmers to depend on the security measures included into the Chainlink VRF product. This reduces the chance for human mistake by ensuring the randomization is both auditable and unalterable utilizing a trust-minimized technique.

From 1981, BMM has been offering the gaming market with competent technical and legislative compliance advisory services. BMM is a well-established and seasoned private, autonomous gaming certification agency.
