Coinpayments To Support BTT, BitTorrent’s Native Cryptocurrency

bittorrentBitTorrent announced in an interesting development on Thursday that its native token, BTT, is now supported by CoinPayments. The company announced the launch of its own cryptocurrency[ BTT] earlier in January. This move came about six months after Tron had acquired it.

BitTorrent has been working closely with CoinPayments for some time, and has assisted in offering support Bitcoin (BTC), Tron (TRX) and Binance Coin (BNB).

The addition of this new token will help users pay for subscriptions to BitTorrent and μTorrent Pro, which provide file conversion, HD quality streaming and malware protection.

In order to make the objective of the partnership with CoinPayments crystal clear, Justin Sun, founder and CEO of Tron, said that the partnership with CoinPayments is an offer to “make BTT liquid in the online market before the token is fully integrated into our desktop and mobile products.”

In June last year, Tron ‘s acquisition of BitTorrent was a big step towards web decentralization.

At that time, Justin Sun “With the integration, TRON aims to liberate the Internet from the stranglehold of large corporations, give data rights back to the individual, and reignite the early 21st century vision of a free, transparent, decentralized network to connect the world, because the internet belongs to the people.”

The report also notes that there are plans to launch “BitTorrent Speed” this summer, which is reported to be launched as part of the μTorrent Classic client based on Windows from BitTorrent.

It is worth noting that Project Atlas is an integration of the roadmap of Tron and the reach of BitTorrent. Project Atlas is Peer-to-Peer (P2P) software that allows users to earn and spend cryptos while sharing files and the massive user base of BitTorrent provides Tron with the perfect launch pad.
