Crypto Supporting Travala Partners With Room Fare Aggregator Booking.com

Travala, a platform facilitating hotel room booking using cryptocurrency, has partnered with travel fare aggregator site Booking.com. Under the partnership, tourists can reserve room using any of the deals offered by Booking.com.

In this regard, Travala stated that it has already linked the deals offered by Booking.com in its platform. With this partnership, tourists will be able to make reservations in more than 90,000 destinations using cryptocurrencies.

Travellers using Travala’s platform can settle using its native crypto AVA token and also 20 major crypto currencies such as XRP, Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Ether (ETH), Dash (DASH), Tron (TRX), EOS, Stellar (XLM), Binance Chain (BNB), Cardano (ADA), Monero (XMR) and Dai (DAI).

Travala’s CEO Matt Luczynski explained the benefits of this partnership for its clients.

“This partnership allows our users to access Booking.com’s accommodation listings, as well as the listings from several other leading travel suppliers, which is a fantastic use case for our own AVA token and another huge step towards mass cryptocurrency adoption.”

Furthermore, Travala also highlighted about the listing of its native cryptocurrency in decentralized exchange Binance DEX. The crypto token is paired against Binance Coin on the platform.

Several travel firms across the globe have started accepting cryptocurrencies as payment. Earlier in November, Alternative Airlines, a travel firm based in the UK, collaborated with cryptocurrency service provider Utrust to pave way for payments with crypto.

Earlier in 2Q19, the co-founders of Scandinavian air carrier Norwegian Air revealed its plan to open their own crypto exchange in order to support cryptocurrency payments in the future.
