Ferrari Inks Agreement With Blockchain Firm Velas to Develop Digital Products for Fans

Ferrari stated Monday that it has inked a multi-year agreement with Swiss technology company Velas Network to collaborate on the creation of digital products for its fans. Velas, a producer of digital goods and services, will turn out to be an associate of Ferrari’s Formula One racing team beginning with the 2019 season, the company said today.

Velas will also serve as the Title Sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series, the online mono-brand sequence of the Prancing Horse, as well as the Esports group that will participate in the F1 Esports Series, the company endorsed digital championship in which all teams competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship will contend, according to a statement from Ferrari.

As a prominent developer of blockchain solutions and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are cryptographic goods kept on a blockchain and contain an identifying number that distinguishes them from other cryptographic goods, Velas has acquired prominence as a means of selling art pieces.

A new series named Cryptobatz by Ozzy Osbourne, the British heavy metal superstar, has just entered the NFT sector. The MutantBatz feature, which is related to Osbourne’s NFT items, is a first for the fashion industry, and it is part of his line. Due to this unique characteristic, Osbourne’s NFTs will be able to mutate withrest of the NFT pieces possessed by customers, resulting in the creation of a unique NFT piece.

Up to this point, NFT manufacturers such as Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, and CrypToadz have collaborated with Osbourne to allow his NFTs to mingle with their products. Under Armour, a sportswear company located in the United States, has also made its debut in the metaverse. It has collaborated with NBA star Stephen Curry for a NFT drop to commemorate his latest record as the all-time leading three-point shooter in basketball history.

Due to the Golder State Warrior guard’s lifetime three-point shooting total of 2,974 attempts, Under Armour has developed what the company believes to be the world’s foremost cross-platform metaverse footwear — a limited edition of Curry Flow 9.
