The developers positioned Guardians ID as a tool intended to enrich the traditional football experience by transforming fan enthusiasm into active participation. The platform reportedly seeks to connect clubs, leagues, federations, and commercial brands with supporters through a blockchain-enabled rewards structure that merges digital interaction with real-world benefits.

Fan Passport at the Center

At the core of the initiative is the Guardians ID Fan Passport, described as a digital credential that allows supporters to officially register with their favorite football entities, whether clubs, national teams, or leagues. The passport will be accessible through a mobile application available on both Android and iOS devices.

Once registered, users will be able to check in at matches and events, participate in live match engagement experiences, and collect digital collectibles such as badges and NFTs. These online actions will unlock virtual and physical rewards, including cashback on tickets and merchandise, as well as exclusive access to premium fan experiences. The company indicated that the system is designed as a closed-loop environment where engagement leads to benefits, secured through Polkadot and JAM technology, and aligned with the recently revealed proof of individuality mechanism.

Blockchain Integration Strengthens Trust and Scale

By integrating with Polkadot, Guardians of the Ball aims to ensure that scalability, interoperability, and trust remain foundational pillars of the fan ecosystem. The program reportedly enables verification of fan behavior in a transparent and tamper-resistant manner, while also allowing football organizations and sponsors to craft personalized campaigns, tokens, and engagement experiences.

This development emerged in collaboration with the Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA), a major educational partner within the ecosystem.
