IMO Invest opens Swiss real estate to small investors

IMO Invest

IMO Invest, a Swiss blockchain initiative founded by entrepreneur Knut Robillard, has expanded its ecosystem to make the country’s real estate market more accessible. The platform now enables investments starting from as little as 50 Swiss francs, offering a low-entry alternative to traditional property tokenization. This development responds to the growing demand for affordable real estate exposure in Switzerland, where high entry costs have typically limited participation to a small segment of wealthy investors.

Deflationary model over tokenization

Unlike most tokenization projects that directly link tokens to individual properties, IMO Invest applies a different mechanism. The platform uses a buy-and-burn model, in which revenues from real estate holdings and ecosystem surpluses are deployed to repurchase and permanently remove IMO tokens from circulation. This approach reduces token supply while creating buying pressure, allowing participants to gain indirect exposure to real estate performance without the legal or administrative challenges tied to land registry processes.

According to the company, this design aims to simplify blockchain-based real estate investing by avoiding regulatory complexity and offering smoother access than traditional tokenized structures. The method has already resulted in more than 10% of the total IMO token supply being destroyed, increasing scarcity and potential token value over time.

Key advantages for investors

The platform highlights several benefits for its users:

The project has drawn attention from younger demographics such as Millennials and Gen Z, who are increasingly looking for alternatives to traditional financial markets. Its combination of crypto, blockchain infrastructure, and exposure to stable Swiss real estate positions it as a hybrid product tailored for digital-native investors.

Adoption and ecosystem growth

Since its launch, IMO Invest has gained thousands of investors and gradually expanded its real estate portfolio. The migration of its token from Binance Smart Chain to the Ethereum Layer 2 network Base has improved speed, transparency, and cost efficiency. Its presence on decentralized exchanges has further enhanced accessibility, enabling 24/7 trading and removing barriers associated with conventional investment avenues.

Robillard, the project’s founder, has emphasized that Swiss real estate is often regarded as one of the safest assets globally, yet historically has been reserved for a financial elite. He suggested that IMO Invest was designed to break down this exclusivity and offer an accessible entry point while still benefiting from the stability of Swiss assets.

Outlook

With the deflationary mechanism already removing a significant portion of token supply, the project expects scarcity-driven value appreciation to remain a core feature. Combined with the reputation of Swiss real estate and the flexibility of blockchain infrastructure, IMO Invest is positioning itself as a unique bridge between traditional property markets and modern digital finance.

The initiative highlights how blockchain-driven financial products are evolving from speculative assets to practical tools that open established markets to wider audiences. If adoption continues, IMO Invest could represent a model for making traditionally inaccessible asset classes available to everyday investors.
