Italy’s PornVisory Opts for Brave Browser Model & Reward Porn Viewers with Crypto

Blockchain.comPornVisory, a unique cryptocurrency venture, intends to award tokens to porn watch porn on its blockchain powered platform.

The company’s founder Veronica Noschese argued that there is an innate synergy between pornography and cryptocurrency industry, with the former requiring privacy focused financial tools.

As an illustration, Noschese cited the incident of Pornhub ban by PayPal last year and the porn behemoth’s consequent decision to back Verge’s cryptocurrency two years back.

Earlier this January, PornHub also began accepting Tether’s USDT stablecoin as a mode of payment. She stated:

“In the porn industry there are a lot of issues regarding privacy and reputation. For example, even the biggest name in the industry, Pornhub, saw its account blocked by PayPal. Also, you might not want to pay your Premium account to watch porn with the bank account you share with your wife.”

Noschese stated that her firm’s platform is motivated by the Basic Attention Token (BAT). The users of Brave, a privacy centered web browser with a built-in adblocker, are awarded BAT tokens for allowing special advertisements.

Likewise, ads viewed by members of PornVisory’s content will be compensated with PVY tokens. She detailed as follows:

“Inspired by the Brave browser we decided to do something similar but related to the porn industry. The concept is simple: users will be paid to watch porn videos and when he/she interacts with the Pornvisory platform in general.”

Until now, PornVisory is only an Italy focused (site based on Italian) adults news outlet, but soon intends to offer English news section, a porn video website owned by third-party and a platform for live streaming.

As per Noschese, PornVisory has no intention to carry out an initial coin offering but will airdrop a portion of the crypto tokens as a part of the marketing strategy.

The venture is backed by own funds of the founder, but Nochese intends to raise funds from venture capitalists one the platform garners market attention.

Noschese detailed that she has successfully worked as a marketing executive in the adult entertainment sector for a considerable period of time, enabling her to build beneficial connections that could be capitalized for collaborations in the long-term.

She intends to use her contacts to facilitate holders of PVY tokens in sex shops or offer tips to artists on live streaming platforms.

Mauro Baeli, CEO of Deepit, the Swiss company responsible for the blockchain infrastructure that underlies the venture, stated that his firm trusts the strategy of PornVisory has great chances of success:

“We believe that PornVisory will succeed if they’ll be able to sharpen the focus in a specific segment of their industry. The use of the blockchain tools will surely put them one step beyond.”
