Japan’s Media House MIXI Becomes Node Validator in Oasys Blockchain Network

Oasys, a blockchain platform designed for gaming purposes, made an announcement regarding the addition of MIXI, Inc. (MIXI), the leading media corporation in Japan, to its network as the most recent node validator. The collaboration is expected to create opportunities for future partnerships between the two entities within the gaming sector.

MIXI has become the second group of Oasys Validators to be announced this year, joining SoftBank, KDDI, and Nexon, thereby increasing the total number to 25. Oasys has restated its dedication to broadening its ecosystem and hastening the widespread acceptance of Web3 games. This will be achieved through a dependable and fast infrastructure, with the backing of several institutions.

According to Yuko Nemoto, who holds the position of Senior Corporate Officer in the Digital Entertainment Business Operations department at MIXI, the company’s objective is to enhance interpersonal relationships by offering communication services, including the social media platform “mixi,” and by facilitating the gathering of close friends and families through our smartphone game “Monster Strike.” Our involvement as a validator for Oasys is geared towards enhancing the current communication channels and producing captivating content for our user community. Oasys’ inventive methodology is instrumental in creating novel user experiences, and we are committed to leveraging this to achieve our objectives.

Daiki Moriyama, the Director of Oasys, emphasized the importance of MIXI’s involvement as a validator in the company’s efforts to establish collaborations that would promote the extensive usage of blockchain-powered games. We are of the opinion that this presents numerous opportunities for future collaborations, be it in partnership with our Genesis Council or in the creation of game content, thereby laying the foundation for the future of blockchain gaming.

Oasys has significantly transformed the manner in which gamers and developers engage and produce on blockchain in slightly more than a year since its establishment. The platform has achieved complete decentralization and its proprietary OAS token has received approval for listing in South Korea and Japan. Additionally, it has introduced its mainnet blockchain protocol, which includes over a dozen interactive games for its user base. Oasys is furthering its objective of introducing blockchain-based gaming to the world by encouraging the extensive implementation of blockchain technology.
