LinkedIn Survey – Blockchain Developer Is the Fastest Growing Sector

A study conducted by LinkedIn, the popular labor-oriented social network, indicated that the Blockchain development sector has seen the quickest growth in all budding businesses listed and tracked by the website.

The study, referred by the name “Blockchain Development” has seen a growth of over 33x compared to the number of offers that were availabe during the year 2017.

Most of the plum jobs are offered in the US cities such as San Francisco, New York and Atlanta. Likewise the skills that are in great demand are Solidity (Ethereum programming language) and Node.js. The industries with greater job demand are IBM, ConsenSys and Chainyard.

The demand for well-experienced blockchain professionals is followed by professionals with Machine Learning experience. Other professions that offer la lot of openings include sales, medical representatives, data science, and other similar fields.

These results substantiate other independent studies with comparable conclusions. Not only has the number of job offers associated to this innovation increased, but also the number of specialists who have used crypto as a payment mode has increased to roughly33% of the total market.

Last year, Upwork, the freelancing platform, announced the results of its yearly research indicating how the requirement for Bitcoin and blockchain innovation abilities became the most active trend in general.

“The cryptocurrency craze is only just beginning .Bitcoin (#1), the most searched Google term in 2017, was the fastest-growing skill in Q4. This was the same time period it hit record high after record high price and reached an all-time high of $19,783 (December 17, 2017). The growth of this type of job is especially significant for traders who carry out fundamental analysis. In view of the development of the technology, the adoption of cryptocurrencies is pivotal.
The outcome of the study did not excite LinkedIn research team too much.
