Microsoft Partners With Japanese Firm To Advance Blockchain Technology

Japanese subsidiary of computer giant Microsoft has joined forces with the developing LayerX blockchain startup to “accelerate” innovation adoption.

LayerX, which was setup in August as a joint venture between the news curation app Gunosy and the consulting facility AnyPay, manages the incorporation of blockchain for companies, including smart contracts and general counseling.

Using the Azure Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform from Microsoft, companies will seek to further nurture technology in the domestic economy.

The press release stated “We will support the introduction process in its entirety, even down to the technical support of finished implementations.”

“Both companies will work toward realization of transformation of people’s lives and working practices by promoting the implementation of blockchain technology in various industries.”

Earlier this month, Microsoft introduced its cloud-based development kit Azure blockchain, which administrators said would concentrate on three areas. “Connecting interfaces, integrating data and systems, and smart contra deployment.”

Two Japanese cryptocurrency exchanges, Coincheck and Zaif, which together lost roughly $600 million, continued to recover from hacks in January and September of this year.
