MIT, Cornell & 18 More Univ Join Data Program of Oasis Blockchain Network

Blockchain and data science communities from top universities of the world have joined hands with blockchain framework providers such as Bison Trails to establish Oasis University Program, which intends to promote the Oasis Network among students.

The core of Oasis Network blockchain has been a PoS (Proof-of-Stake) blockchain structured to facilitate data tokenization, permitting users to retain control of what info is distributed and who the receivers are.

With access to study materials, technical assistance and events concentrated on accountable data, university teams will develop apps, operate validators, and involve in administration of the Oasis Network, as Jernej Kos of the Oasis Foundation detailed:

“Universities will have the opportunity to foster the growth of a broad and substantive ecosystem focused on building a responsible data economy.”

He stated that university groups would conduct domestic events, participate in studies concentrated on budding tech such as safe computing and machine learning, while taking part in long-term preparation of the network.

The founder members of the program include blockchain communities from Oxford and Cambridge Universities, in addition to Cornell, Berkeley and MIT and chosen universities across the globe.

In the meantime, Professor Dr.Philipp Sandner, chief of Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, detailed that the combination of data privacy and other blockchain related benefits offered by the Oasis Network motivated his group to “run a node, participate in the network and use it for applied research and practical education.”

Of late, Bison Trails has been proactive in improving its profile by backing several platforms in the past few months. The firm also appointed a devoted legal consultant to concentrate on guidelines and regulatory problems.
