NEM Collaborates With FIX Network to Improve Mobile Data Safety

NEM, one of the renowned P2P (peer-to-peer) blockchain networks, has collaborated with Israeli-Lithuanian telecom firm FIX network to boost data safety for mobile users and address the problem of SIM swapping.

FIX Network will adopt SYMBOL from NEM’s commercial blockchain into its prevailing mobile framework.

The objective is to safeguard the eight billion SIM cards world over, from hackers, with latest anonymity, safety, and administration solutions.

FIX Network’s basic framework has been structured to permit mobile operators to provide services such as digital identity handling, crypto wallets, and personal info firewalls to mobile users, activated by the safekeeping of confidential keys on the clients’ SIM cards.

The initial offering will be the FIX ID app, which safely pinpoints partakers via subscriber-owned international telephone numbers that act as unique digital identities.

The first lot of 10,000 FIX Secure ID SIMs, preordered last June, is anticipated to be delivered by the end of April 2020.

FIX Network has also rolled out a mobile that offers roaming deals in 186 nations. Nate D’Amico, CTO of NEM Foundation, explained the advantages offered by FIX network. Nate D’Amico said:

“FIX Network takes established infrastructure — the worldwide cellular network — and uses it to create a better, fairer, and safer way to transact.”

Itamar Kunik, the CEO of FIX Network added:

“The enterprise nature of Symbol and the native features inherent in its platform are fundamental to the steady adoption and implementation of the FIX Network solution by the telecommunications industry.”
