Pi Network Steps Up Web3 Gaming Push with CiDi Games Alliance

pi network

Pi Network has outlined a major step in its ecosystem strategy by forming a new partnership with CiDi Games, a studio known for building titles that integrate directly with Pi. The collaboration is being positioned as a way to broaden real-world applications for the cryptocurrency while giving millions of users—referred to within the ecosystem as Pioneers—fresh ways to engage with the network through gaming. Pi officials indicated that the alliance is meant to signal long-term commitment to gaming at scale and to encourage developers to build around Pi’s capabilities.

According to the project’s leadership, gaming naturally aligns with Pi’s structure and ongoing development roadmap. The partnership, therefore, functions not only as a product-focused initiative but also as part of a coordinated plan to expand the broader ecosystem.

Partnership Backed by Strategic Investment

Pi Network Ventures has reinforced the partnership with a direct investment in CiDi Games. This move is aligned with Pi Network Ventures’ mission to support organizations capable of building high-impact, sustainable Web3 experiences. Pi representatives have suggested that CiDi Games’ history in both game development and platform management made the company a strong candidate for collaboration. By combining Pi’s global user base with CiDi’s development expertise, both sides aim to advance what they describe as a new chapter in Web3 gaming centered on accessible, meaningful digital interactions.

Gaming as a Core Component of Pi’s Growth Vision

Pi Network has consistently emphasized gaming as a central vertical within its ecosystem strategy. Team members noted that games naturally incorporate social interaction, virtual economies, and universal appeal—traits well-suited to Pi’s global, verified user community. Because Pioneers form a large crypto-enabled network, Pi believes the gaming segment offers substantial room for growth and engagement.

The partnership aims to create a reinforcing cycle: games developed by CiDi are expected to attract interest from Pi’s large community, and the utility generated by these games is expected to strengthen the overall network through increased production, interaction, and innovation.

Pi’s support for the gaming vertical has previously included hackathons, incubation programs, pre-built tools, and monetization opportunities through the Pi Ad Network. The network also introduced FruityPi, a game demonstrating integrated Pi payments, wallet features, and advertising utilities. These earlier efforts are being framed as the groundwork for a more expansive push enabled through the CiDi Games alliance.

A Multifaceted Ecosystem and the Role of Pi Network Ventures

Pi emphasized that this partnership highlights the importance of strategic investments made through Pi Network Ventures. Such investments allow Pi to work with established builders across different industries, helping expand both application-level and platform-level capabilities. This approach fits into Pi’s broader objective of deepening utility across the ecosystem through a mix of grassroots and high-impact initiatives—from technical tools like the Pi SDK to business enablers such as the Pi Ad Network.

The collaboration with CiDi Games is being presented as an example of how Pi Network Ventures aims to work with high-growth companies whose contributions can strengthen the overall ecosystem and benefit Pioneers. The team stated that these efforts are intended to advance Pi’s long-term vision of creating an accessible, utility-driven digital environment.

CiDi Games’ Role in Expanding Pi-Integrated Gaming

CiDi Games is currently building a catalog of Pi-integrated titles and developing an H5 Game Platform, an HTML5-based hub designed for lightweight and casual gaming. Pi will be woven directly into these games as a medium for payments, rewards, and transactions. In addition, CiDi Games is designing an open framework that extends Pi’s platform capabilities, offering APIs and infrastructure to make it easier for other studios to bring their games into the Pi ecosystem.

The company’s initial product version is expected to undergo testing in the first quarter of 2026. Early development goals include refining performance, incorporating user feedback, and ensuring alignment with Pi’s ecosystem requirements.

Both organizations have indicated they will continue providing updates as development progresses. For now, the partnership is being portrayed as a significant step toward enhancing Pi’s utility and positioning gaming as a major engine of ecosystem expansion.
