In the current month, Polygon, a blockchain that was formerly recognized for its DeFi DApps, has overtaken Hive and attained the second rank. This development bodes well for Polygon, as its stature as a blockchain platform for gaming is on the rise.

As per the report by DappRadar, Hunters On-Chain, a game on BoomLand, has played a crucial role in the remarkable surge of UAW on Polygon. The UAW has witnessed a staggering growth of over 17,000% in the last 30 days, majorly attributed to the aforementioned game. BoomLand launched Hunters On-Chain in January, which is a Web3 version of their well-received mobile game, Hunt Royale. The game is available at no cost and incorporates NFTs that bear similarities to Minecraft in terms of both visual aesthetics and gameplay.

A new record was set on March 9 when approximately 55,300 supporters of UAW attended the game. The reason behind the recent surge in the game’s popularity remains unidentified, although the sale of in-game NFTs on March 31 could have been a contributing factor.

As per the report, the on-chain gaming activity observed a decline of 3.33 percent in March, with 741,567 daily Unique Active Wallets (dUAW). Nonetheless, games still constitute 45.6 percent of the DApp industry activity in the first quarter of 2023.
