QIE Blockchain Launches ID and KYC Tools for Web3 Users

qie blockchain

QIE Blockchain has introduced QIE ID and QIE Pass, two blockchain-based services designed to simplify cryptocurrency payments, reusable identity verification, and trust across participating exchanges and decentralized applications. The Layer-1 blockchain platform said the products are intended to reduce common barriers faced by cryptocurrency users while improving the onboarding experience for businesses operating in the Web3 ecosystem.

The company focuses on digital identity, reusable compliance, and blockchain payments. Its ecosystem also supports smart contracts, decentralized finance applications, staking, and digital identity infrastructure, positioning the platform as a broader foundation for Web3 services.

Cryptocurrency users frequently manage multiple wallet addresses across different blockchain networks and often repeat Know Your Customer (KYC) verification whenever they register with new exchanges or applications. Developers across the industry have increasingly viewed these repetitive processes as obstacles to wider blockchain adoption, particularly as the sector seeks to attract mainstream users.

Human-Readable Blockchain Identities

QIE ID has been developed to replace multiple cryptocurrency wallet addresses with a single human-readable identifier. Instead of sharing separate wallet addresses for networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other supported blockchains, users can register a single identity that directs incoming payments to the appropriate linked wallet.

The system is designed to make cryptocurrency transfers resemble conventional digital communications by allowing users to send funds using an easy-to-read identity instead of lengthy wallet addresses.

QIE ID is available through three service tiers. A free version provides randomly generated identities for supported Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible blockchains, while paid versions allow users to register personalized names and extend compatibility to additional blockchain networks. Unlike many blockchain naming services, the platform offers these identities through a one-time purchase rather than recurring annual subscription fees.

Reusable Identity Verification

QIE Pass has been introduced to simplify identity verification for cryptocurrency users. The platform enables individuals to complete KYC verification once through compliance provider Sumsub before choosing to share their verified status with participating exchanges and decentralized applications.

The approach allows users to avoid repeatedly submitting identity documents and completing verification procedures for every new platform they join. For exchanges, reusable verification can shorten onboarding times, lower compliance costs, and improve registration completion rates while continuing to meet KYC, Anti-Money Laundering, and Travel Rule requirements through Sumsub.

QIE Blockchain said QIE Pass has already been integrated with Bifinance, Coinstore, and Biconomy, while integrations with LBank and Weex are currently in progress, expanding the reach of its reusable compliance infrastructure.

The platform also enables exchanges to create branded blockchain identity namespaces for their customers, allowing users to maintain recognizable blockchain identities that remain connected to their wallets while reflecting the exchange’s branding.

Reputation System Aims to Improve Trust

Beyond identity management, QIE Blockchain is developing an on-chain reputation system linked to QIE IDs. The proposed framework is intended to provide additional context when users interact with unfamiliar wallet addresses, an area where blockchain networks traditionally offer limited information about the individuals behind transactions.

The reputation model is expected to combine blockchain activity with verified identity indicators, including wallet age, transaction history, verified QIE Pass status, staking activity, and validated community reports related to fraudulent behavior. The company said the system is designed to complement blockchain transparency rather than replace it.

The launch of QIE ID, QIE Pass, and the planned on-chain reputation framework reflects QIE Blockchainβ€˜s strategy to improve usability, strengthen trust, and reduce onboarding friction while preserving the decentralized nature of blockchain networks.

As blockchain adoption continues to expand, developers across the industry are increasingly exploring human-readable identities, reusable compliance systems, and reputation mechanisms as practical solutions for improving user experience without fundamentally altering decentralized infrastructure.
