Salesforce Blockchain Attests First Edition Artwork-Adorned Lamborghini

A rare Lamborghini Aventador S with a personalized paint work is on show at the 2019 Monterey Car Week in California. The automobile will be the foremost Lamborghini to be certified via a pilot venture using Salesforce Blockchain to safeguard the car as a work of art.

The Aventador S reflects a combination of the automobile art of Lamborghini and unique street art of Skyler Grey, a nineteen year old rising street artist whose work received a place in museums and global art fairs. Grey was also listed in the Forbes “30 under 30” list of top inspirational artists globally in 2017.

Katia Bassi, Head of Marketing and Communications at Lamborghini, explained the intention behind the initiative:

“Because of the affinity we feel with the world of art, we wanted to experiment with a new creative approach, entrusting Skyler Grey with the interpretation of a car that is already itself a work of art.”

Lamborghini has been affiliated with Bitcoin for a while. One of the cryptocurrency investor made headlines when he purchase Lamborghini with the profits made from investing in Bitcoin.

The manufacturer of Lambo has reciprocated the affinity on Bitcoin. The car mentioned above is part of an initiative named “Lamborghini Sicura” (or “Safe”). The car has gone through an authenticity certification procedure, fielding Salesforce Blockchain to ensure data safety and integrity.

The system intends to safeguard against counterfeiting, while attesting all data pertinent to the vehicle. This will add value for all the stakeholders involved in the project.

Following the launch in May, Salesforce Blockchain has looked at several use-cases such as storing academic records by Arizona State University.
