Samsung SDS Collaborates With Tech Mahindra for Developing Blockchain Based Tracking Platform

Electronic giant Samsung’s IT subsidiary Samsung SDS has entered into a joint venture with the US software firm Pega and Indian multinational firm Mahindra to introduce a blockchain powered platform for tracking process in various industries.

In particular, the collaboration includes Samsung SDS’ enterprise blockchain platform Nexledger Universal and Pega’s digital process automation platform Pega Platform.

By incorporating Pega’s core product with Nexledger, the firms intend to build enhancements for supply chain systems.

The software is aimed at multiple industries including insurance, banking and financial services, manufacturing, public services and also supply chain logistics.

It can be remembered that in April 2018 Samsung SDS and Tech Mahindra partnered to build and popularize Nexledger in Indian and international markets. The product offers an open-source, hybrid and private blockchain platform that merges a group of components including tracking tools, API (application programming interfaces) and external linkages.

Tech Mahindra and Pega have jointly built business tools based on Pega’s client management tools since 2003. On April 24, 2019, Samsung SDS unveiled a unique version of Nexledger Universal, an API coupling multiple blockchains such as Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum and Samsung’s Nexledger Consensus Algorithm.
