Samsung Unveils Blockchain-Powered Knox Matrix to Safeguard Smart Devices

In contrast to its existing Knox security solution, the tech giant Samsung has introduced the Samsung Knox Matrix, which will use a private blockchain technology to make your smart home ecosystem more safe. The new security feature will strengthen the security of your connected devices via multi-layered mutual monitoring, similar to how the user’s private blockchain system functions.

Today at the Samsung Developer Conference, Samsung introduced this protection technology for Galaxy smartphones, televisions, and other devices. According to Samsung, the new technology would facilitate login and protect against unauthorized access. Credentials will be transferred across devices to guarantee security and safeguard sensitive data.

Unfortunately, the company did not provide many technical details, thus it is unclear what information will be sent between devices in order to ensure security. Samsung has said that several devices, including mobile phones, televisions, and even air conditioners, would be compatible with Knox Matrix.

“Stay tuned to learn more about Samsung Knox Matrix and its security strategy suited for today’s connected environment,” the firm claimed.
