Settle Secures Up to $100M in Financing Through 3Jane Deal

settle

Settle, a financing provider serving consumer brands and e-commerce businesses, has entered into a forward-flow financing agreement with structured credit platform 3Jane that could provide access to as much as $100 million in capital. The arrangement brings stablecoin-based liquidity into traditional merchant financing, enabling Settle to expand lending to businesses that need funding to purchase inventory before generating sales.

Under the agreement, 3Jane will initially commit $50 million in financing capacity, with the potential to increase the allocation to $100 million. The structured credit platform has already acquired $18 million in loans from Settle’s existing portfolio and will continue purchasing eligible loans as they are originated.

The partnership establishes a revolving funding arrangement that allows Settle to sell qualifying loans, recover deployed capital and use the proceeds to finance additional lending without retaining every loan on its balance sheet.

Forward-Flow Agreement Supports Lending Expansion

The agreement uses a forward-flow structure under which 3Jane purchases qualifying loans originated by Settle over time. This provides Settle with a continuing source of liquidity while giving 3Jane exposure to a portfolio of merchant financing assets.

The arrangement is designed to improve capital efficiency by allowing Settle to recycle funds into new loans instead of waiting for existing borrowers to complete their repayment schedules.

For lending companies, access to such financing structures can be important because maintaining a large loan portfolio requires substantial capital. Selling eligible loans to an external financing partner can free up balance-sheet capacity and support additional originations.

The initial $50 million commitment provides a foundation for the arrangement, while the potential expansion to $100 million could support greater lending volumes as the partnership develops.

Settle Addresses Inventory Financing Needs

Settle specializes in providing working capital to consumer brands and e-commerce companies that face a financing gap between purchasing inventory and receiving revenue from product sales.

Businesses often need to pay suppliers and cover inventory expenses well before products reach customers. This creates cash-flow pressures, particularly for growing brands that need to maintain inventory levels while managing operating expenses.

Settle addresses this requirement by paying supplier invoices and inventory-related bills on behalf of businesses at the time of purchase. Borrowers subsequently repay the financing through extended payment periods or predetermined installment schedules.

The company has deployed more than $4 billion in financing across thousands of consumer and e-commerce businesses.

Settle founder and Chief Executive Officer Alek Koenig said the partnership would provide a more capital-efficient funding model for addressing customers’ inventory financing requirements. He emphasized that businesses need to secure inventory before generating sales and that the forward-flow arrangement would help Settle serve this demand at greater scale.

3Jane Uses Stablecoin Liquidity for Structured Credit

3Jane operates a structured credit platform that connects capital providers with fintech lending businesses through blockchain-based financing infrastructure.

Its model uses a revolving financing conduit divided into different tranches, allowing lenders to access funding through a shared structured credit arrangement.

Traditional private securitization programs can be expensive and operationally complex to establish. Smaller lending companies may struggle to justify the costs associated with creating and maintaining dedicated financing structures.

3Jane seeks to address this limitation by providing originators with access to the economic benefits of private, unrated securitization without requiring each lender to establish its own independent program.

By channeling stablecoin liquidity into structured credit arrangements, 3Jane aims to make institutional-style financing more accessible to fintech lenders and reduce the infrastructure costs associated with raising capital.

Partnership Connects Digital Liquidity With Merchant Lending

3Jane Chief Executive Officer Jacob Chudnovsky said Settle had established a lending business serving thousands of consumer brands and that the partnership would use stablecoin liquidity to finance its loan portfolio through a structure designed to reduce financing costs.

The agreement highlights a growing application of blockchain infrastructure beyond cryptocurrency trading and payments. Stablecoin liquidity is increasingly being explored as a funding source for financial products connected to traditional business activities.

For Settle, the arrangement could support continued lending growth by improving access to external capital. For 3Jane, purchasing loans from an established merchant financing provider expands the application of its structured credit infrastructure.

The potential increase in financing capacity to $100 million also provides room for the partnership to scale as Settle generates additional qualifying loans.
