Sirin Labs Partners With MyEtherWallet to Encourage Adoption Of Blockchain Smartphone

Sirin Labs, which was the first to announce the launch of blockchain mobile, has revealed through social media that it will integrate MyEtherWallet (MEW), a free, open-source, client-side interface for generating Ethereum wallets, in its Finney smart phone.

Sirin, which unveiled Finney in the final leg of 2018, will now permit MEW customers to buy the gadget using the desktop and mobile interface of the latter. MEW will also be used as wallets connect for the users of Finney. The initiative, according to Sirin and MEW, was an outcome of the need to encourage adoption and to simplify the method of gaining access and managing cryptocurrency tokens.

MEW CEO and founder Kosala Hemachandra has this to say about the planned integration with Sirin’s crypto enable smart phone. “We’re always looking to bring more secure integrations to Ethereum to make our users feel safe while navigating the crypto waters, and we believe having an on-phone hardware wallet is immensely valuable to users.”

Hemachandra further stated:

“This will not only make it easy to send and receive crypto transactions, but it will also make crypto more accessible to a wide range of users.”

This collaboration is only the recent one for Sirin, which became popular among crypto enthusiasts two years ago when football player Lionel Messi became its brand ambassador.

Sirin CEO Zvika Landau said “We see this integration as a strong step towards a greater market share for both companies, as the two products complement each other.”

The blockchain smartphone domain already includes multiple players that introduced gadgets at roughly the same time. A month before, HTC collaborated with the Opera web browser to broaden its native blockchain-centered product, Exodus.

In the meanwhile, Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, hogged the limelight after it disclosed that it will incorporate a cryptocurrency wallet in Galaxy S10 smartphone.
