Stellar has added Tether’s USDT0 to its blockchain, expanding access to the USDT stablecoin ecosystem and strengthening the network’s role in cross-border payments, settlement, and treasury operations. The integration is designed to make digital-dollar transfers across blockchain networks simpler while giving payment companies, fintech firms and financial institutions access to Stellar’s established payment infrastructure.
USDT0 enables Tether’s USDT to operate across multiple blockchain ecosystems. With its launch on Stellar, businesses can access Tether’s broader USDT liquidity through a network designed for fast and low-cost financial transactions. The integration is expected to support companies that need to move digital dollars across jurisdictions and blockchain networks around the clock.
The Stellar integration connects businesses to Tether’s more than $180 billion USDT ecosystem while allowing them to use Stellar’s payment infrastructure for cross-border transfers, settlement, and treasury activity.
Focus on Cross-Chain Liquidity
Stablecoins have increasingly become part of payment, settlement, and treasury workflows, but moving digital dollars between different blockchain networks can create operational and liquidity challenges. Companies may have to manage multiple versions of the same asset across separate ecosystems, increasing complexity as their operations expand.
USDT0 is intended to address that issue by connecting Stellar to Tether’s wider USDT ecosystem. Rather than creating another isolated version of the stablecoin, the network is designed to provide a more consistent USDT experience across supported blockchains.
For businesses operating internationally, the integration could reduce the need to maintain separate liquidity arrangements for different blockchain networks. Payment providers could use the infrastructure for cross-border transactions, while treasury teams could manage digital-dollar liquidity across supported ecosystems using a consistent asset.
The arrangement also provides financial application developers with access to Stellar’s infrastructure without requiring them to build independent liquidity pathways for each blockchain they support.
Stellar Targets Institutional Money Movement
Stellar has operated as a blockchain-based payments network since 2014, supporting applications involving remittances, international payments, financial inclusion and aid distribution. Its infrastructure is designed around relatively fast and low-cost settlement, making it a potential platform for businesses handling high-volume financial transactions.
Denelle Dixon, CEO and executive director of the Stellar Development Foundation, said the addition of USDT0 strengthens Stellar’s existing payments infrastructure and could help advance the development of a global financial system in which significantly larger volumes of money move on blockchain networks.
USDT0 co-founder Lorenzo Romagnoli said the integration expands Stellar’s utility by connecting its payment infrastructure with Tether’s global dollar liquidity. He indicated that payment firms, fintech companies, and treasury teams could benefit by serving international markets without having to rebuild dollar liquidity separately on every network.
For developers and financial enterprises, the integration is intended to simplify liquidity management and support global payment products without requiring separate USDT versions for each blockchain ecosystem.

USDT0 Reports More Than $100 Billion in Transfers
USDT0, which launched in January 2025, has processed more than $100 billion in transferred value across 29 blockchain ecosystems, according to the information provided by the project. Its expansion to Stellar therefore adds another established payments-focused network to its growing cross-chain infrastructure.
The Stellar deployment combines that network coverage with Tether’s broader USDT liquidity base, potentially creating additional opportunities for companies developing cross-border payment, treasury and financial services applications.
USDT0 on Stellar is already available through platforms and applications including BiLira Kripto, Bitget Wallet, Fireblocks, Freighter, Kraken, Kredete, Lobstr, Meru, Ramp Network and SushiSwap. Exodus is also expected to support the integration shortly.
The launch gives Stellar-based businesses access to a broader USDT liquidity network while preserving a common digital-dollar asset across supported blockchain environments, potentially reducing operational friction for globally expanding financial applications.
As stablecoin adoption expands beyond cryptocurrency trading into payments and financial infrastructure, the Stellar-USDT0 integration positions the network to compete for a larger share of institutional and enterprise blockchain activity.
