Toyota Selects Blockchain Innovation Hub Astar for Exploring Web3 Use Cases

Astar Network has been selected by Japan’s biggest corporation to develop usage scenarios for its workers. Particularly, Toyota is investigating Web3 advancements to generate unique experiences that will ultimately be incorporated into actionable recommendations to enhance the company’s operations.

As a preliminary step, Toyota is also supporting its initial worldwide Web3 hackathon. This kind of cryptocurrency training camps is designed to assist Web3 programmers in building an intra-company DAO backing tool on the Astar Network. This partnership enables people to establish groups, issue administration tokens, and vote without understanding Web3’s inner workings.

Toyota would be able to utilize the tools developed during the hackathon to increase transparency and effectiveness if it zeroed down on operational issues that need resolution. Astar Network will go a stride further by offering an atmosphere for programmers and giving product innovation help and coaching throughout the procedure.

Toyota and Astar Network think they might operate the projects as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), a new kind of framework with no centralized governing authority. The platform has been designed to disperse workload, administration, and decision-making.

The founder of Astar Network, Sota Watanabe, said, “It goes without saying that Toyota is the biggest firm in Japan and one of the world’s top multinational corporations. Toyota and we are really delighted to present the Web3 Hackathon on Astar. Throughout the occasion, we want to create the initial Proof-of-Concept DAO tool for Toyota’s workers. If an effective tool is developed, Toyota workers will interface with Astar Network on a regular basis. I predict that automobiles will eventually include blockchain technology. Currently, we remain in the experimental phase, but we are quite enthusiastic about the different options.”

Takumi Sano, a member of HAKUHODO KEY3’s Board of Directors, said, “We are really enthusiastic to witness what fresh web3 facilities Toyota Motor Corporation will fund.” This may be a significant breakthrough that alters the trajectory of history. We anticipate your involvement.”

Astar Network is a Japanese bridge that connects layer-1 blockchains such as Ethereum and Cosmos to the Polkadot environment. Toyota’s Web3 initiative isn’t the initial time a Japanese multinational corporation has entered the blockchain arena or embraced Web3.0-centered technology. To accelerate the expansion of Web3 in their home Japan, the smart contracts system recruited NTT Docomo, Japan’s leading mobile operator, to work on Web3’s broad acceptance and social application.

NTT Docomo will spend up to $4 billion on futuristic internet technologies in the coming 5 to 6 years as it aspires to become a market leader via its mobile architecture.
