TRON Surpasses 400 Million Accounts as USDT Hits $94.2B

TRON

TRON has surpassed 400 million cumulative accounts, marking a major milestone for the blockchain as activity continues to expand across stablecoin transfers, decentralized finance and other applications. The milestone was announced on Aug. 24, 2026, after the network crossed the 400 million mark a day earlier, according to data cited in reports.

Blockchain analytics data confirmed by TRONSCAN showed that the network had more than 400.21 million wallet and smart contract accounts with recorded transfer activity. The figure represents cumulative adoption rather than the number of users actively transacting at any given time, since it includes both active and inactive accounts.

TRON’s cumulative account count has exceeded 400 million, underscoring the network’s growing use for digital-asset transfers and blockchain-based financial activity.

The pace of expansion has also accelerated. TRON took about four years to reach its first 100 million accounts, while the subsequent 300 million were added in slightly more than four years. The rapid increase reflects sustained network activity as blockchain-based payments and stablecoin transactions have gained traction.

USDT strengthens TRON’s role in stablecoin transfers

Stablecoin activity remains a major driver of TRON’s network usage. The blockchain now reportedly handles about 51.4% of circulating USDT, with the value of USDT on the network reaching approximately $94.2 billion.

The supply increased by about $3 billion in a single day, bringing the network closer to a $100 billion USDT milestone. The expansion reinforces TRON’s position as a major settlement network for dollar-pegged digital assets.

Daily network statistics also point to substantial activity. TRON is processing around 11.82 million transactions and adding approximately 170,000 new addresses each day, while about 3.2 million TRX are being burned. Such activity has helped distinguish TRON from blockchain networks where usage is more heavily concentrated in speculative token trading.

TRON was designed to support smart contracts and decentralized applications while emphasizing high transaction throughput and relatively low fees. These characteristics have helped the network gain traction for stablecoin transfers, remittances, and decentralized finance applications.

400 million accounts do not equal active users

The account milestone provides a measure of historical network adoption, but it does not necessarily represent 400 million active users. Cumulative accounts include addresses that may have been used only once, remain dormant, or conduct relatively small transactions.

TRONSCAN provides ongoing visibility into network activity, allowing users and market participants to distinguish cumulative account growth from current usage. Recent data reportedly showed an average of about 4.64 million daily active accounts over the previous 30 days, with several August sessions exceeding 5 million.

The scale of daily activity, combined with TRON’s dominant role in USDT settlement, suggests that the network’s growth is supported by practical financial use cases rather than account creation alone.

Tron Inc. expands TRX treasury

The blockchain milestone also coincided with gains in shares of Nasdaq-listed Tron Inc., which has been building a corporate treasury centered on TRX. The company purchased another 145,002 TRX at an average price of about $0.3448, taking its holdings above 711.2 million tokens.

At recent prices, the company’s TRX treasury was valued at roughly $245 million. Tron Inc. has accumulated the tokens since adopting its digital-asset treasury strategy in June 2025.

The company’s shares recently closed 7.49% higher at $2.01 and had gained 26.42% over five trading sessions. TRX itself was trading near $0.344, giving it a market capitalization of about $32.6 billion.

Tron Inc. has also outlined plans to seek election as one of TRON’s 27 Super Representatives. These network participants validate transactions, produce blocks, and take part in governance. The move could further connect the company’s corporate strategy with the underlying blockchain.

As per reports, the next challenge for Tron Inc. will be demonstrating whether its growing TRX holdings and potential network participation can generate recurring business value rather than depending primarily on token price appreciation.

TRON’s expanding USDT footprint, high transaction volume and growing active-account base could strengthen its position as a major low-cost infrastructure layer for stablecoin payments and digital financial services.
