When asked about Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s latest tweets about Tron, Sun opined that “competition brings a better product.”
He further said
“I think in the future we will even collaborate with lots of Ethereum developers and also the enterprises built on Ethereum before to make the industry better.”
Sun also revealed that a scalability solution in the form of additional (second) layer on Tron blockchain is planned to be deployed in the second-quarter of 2019.
According to Sun, the second layer will boost transaction speed by over 100 times and dramatically bring down fees. Justin Sun has not provided additional details, including the launch date, about the scalability solution, named dubbed Sun Network, so far.
Furthermore, during the podcast, Sun disclosed that the Tron-based version of stablecoin Tether (USDT) will be introduced on April 9. The CEO claimed that the planned version of stablecoin will allow quicker and cost effective transactions that Bitcoin (BTC)-based protocol (Omni).
Sun also stated that in Q2 2019, Tron will launch a “new network with a privacy option,” based on altcoin Zcash (ZEC) technology.
Notably, last month, Singapore-headquartered Huobi Global and Malta-based OKEx have offered their support for the Tron-based version of USDT.
Radar, the blockchain firm that established Radar Relay, a decentralized exchange, was funded to the tune of $10 million in 2018. The firm said that it will introduce a range of developer tools for the blockchain scalability tool Lightning Network.
