Web3 game Tiny Colony Migrates to ImmutableX blockchain

Even if Solana (SOL) has made somewhat of a resurgence in recent months, it has not prevented several high-end gaming ventures from transferring elsewhere. Tiny Colony, which has recently announced its transition to and debut on the ImmutableX (IMX) chain, is one of them. Tiny Colony was first created on the Solana blockchain and is one of Web3/first crypto’s administration and building simulation games (Illuvium: Zero, also on ImmutableX, is also an early mover in this domain).

This one is significant for many aspects, such as the filmmaking, screenwriting, and animation experts from prominent games and entertainment firms such as EA, Capcom, Netflix, and PlayStation that are producing it. I believe you have apparently heard of them. What prompted the switch from Solana to IMX, an Ethereum Layer 2 gaming platform? The official position, as per the information given by the venture with Stockhead, is to exploit the latter’s “state-of-the-art scaling capabilities while keeping Ethereum’s uncompromising safety and decentralization.”

Even before the relocation, Tiny Colony was the most popular series on the digital marketplace Fractal, trading more than 18,000 items and raising $3 million. Tiny Colony’s CEO and co-founder Arshia Navabi, who has vast expertise in film and television narrative and production, stated, “We are thrilled to be teaming with ImmutableX as we enter the realm of web3 gaming.”

He continued, “ImmutableX has a solid track record of creating high-quality games and promoting web3 gaming initiatives through their in-house platform.” As we keep developing Tiny Colony, this agreement enables us to get expert technical assistance, product life cycle consultancy, and long-term guidance from the knowledgeable group at ImmutableX.

It is among the initial blockchain-powered building simulations that enable users to develop and administer a sophisticated subterranean humanoid ant colony, built around seven factions. It blends base construction, tower defense-style tactics, and sim administration as you attempt to establish your community in the 2D pixelated universe of the game.

To succeed, players must harvest and mine strategically, construct cells, hatch larvae, and protect their colony from raids. Yes, there is a component of earning NFT assets, which may be acquired across many game types, some of which are in development, such as “Gladiator Wars” and “Tiny Survivors.” These NFT assets will be used in-game and will be tradable.

Comparable to the Illuvium network of interoperable blockchain games, there is a probability that your hours spent engaging in the game may generate tangible benefits. It’s not like the Tiny Colony environment is designed for users to slog in a play-to-earn way, an idea that as per Illuvium creator Kieran Warwick and Web3 gaming pioneers including Brycent, is dying out in blockchain video games. This game seems to be firmly in the fun-first, rewards-second camp.

Involving others along the road, co-founder Navabi has been working on this endeavor since 2018, and as a consequence, the gameplay aspects are intertwined and connected via a well-developed plot and extensive backstory. Explore the Tiny Colony webpage for further information. Currently, Tiny Colony NFT holders get access to an MVP variant of the game in order to evaluate the fundamental gamification elements and submit input to the project team.
