In addition to WISeKey’s already instituted Blockchain Centers of Excellence in India, Mauritius and Rwanda, the contract provides for the establishment of extra centers beginning with two fresh centers in Geneva, Switzerland and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The true essence of this effort is to actively promote the use of blockchain technologies globally, to incentivize the accelerated adaptation and deployment of blockchain-based solutions, to nurture better cooperation between the government, private and academic sectors and to make sure that the most technological norms are securely and confidently given access.
The Blockchain Centers of Excellence will also play an important role in development and testing, co-creating instances of use and creating IP on blockchain technology and software platforms. They will also turn into a pathway for involving enterprises and governments worldwide in the operations of BRI and a distribution network for the research work of BRI.
The Blockchain Centers of Excellence will function throughout the world as a highly organized, interoperable blockchain environment, enabling all associates to reap benefits completely from mutual learning, practical experience and assets.
Each and every Blockchain Center of Excellence should acquire a specific knowledge which can be circulated between all centres. The Blockchain Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires, for instance, will lead the creation of specific platforms and apps to combat money laundering, illegal trade and bribery, while the Geneva Blockchain Center of Excellence will concentrate on Fintech, especially commodity trading and digital private banking.
