Bithumb Partners With ‘Asian Amazon’ Qoo10 To Launch Payment Service

Cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has collaborated with Asian e-commerce mammoth Qoo10 in order to create a cryptocurrency payment service. Qoo10, the so-called “Asian Amazon,” is a top South Korean e-commerce company operating in pan-Asian markets like Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The press release states that the organization will work towards spreading the Bithumb cash payment service as a worldwide method of payment. In August, the two companies first entered into a contract and worked with the Qoo10 settlement service and the Bithumb cache framework.

Bithumb Cache, introduced this spring by Bithumb, is a password settlement service that empowers Bithumb clients to convert their funds to utilize for payments with their password.

With this new partnership, it’ll be possible to buy items from Qoo10 and pay for them with the Bithumb cache.

Bithumb’s press release further states

“The partnership with Qoo10 has made it possible for us to utilize the Bithumb cache beyond our home country and abroad for real life. We will continue to improve our services to improve customer convenience.”

Back in summer, eBay, a worldwide e-commerce platform, had obtained Qoo10 for the total sum of $573 million, with the aim of expanding eBay’s worldwide presence. Last week, Bithumb collaborated with US fintech firm SeriesOne with the objective to open a securities token exchange in America. According to CoinMarketCap, Bithumb is right now the number 76th crypto exchange, with a daily trading volume of more than $3 billion.
