Chainlink Expands to Arc and MOVA as Institutions Adopt Blockchain

Chainlink has expanded its blockchain infrastructure to two additional networks, extending its data, interoperability, and cross-chain services as financial institutions and decentralized finance developers increase their use of blockchain-based infrastructure.

The networks are Arc, the institutional layer-1 blockchain developed by Circle, and MOVA Chain, a network focused on stablecoins and decentralized finance applications. The expansion gives developers on both networks access to Chainlink services designed for market data and communication between blockchains.

The timing is particularly significant for Arc. Circle launched the Arc mainnet on Sept. 16, 2026, with Chainlink infrastructure already integrated into the network. Chainlink Data Feeds became available on Arc on Sept. 9, followed by Data Streams on Sept. 15. Its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, went live on Arc on the same day as the mainnet launch.

Chainlink Infrastructure Built Into Arc

Chainlink’s infrastructure was deployed on Arc ahead of its mainnet launch, providing developers with price data, low-latency market information, and cross-chain messaging capabilities from the network’s early operating phase.

Data Feeds provide blockchain applications with access to market pricing information, while Data Streams are designed to deliver lower-latency data for applications that require faster updates. CCIP provides messaging and interoperability between supported blockchains, allowing applications to transfer information and assets across networks.

Arc differs from many public blockchains because it was designed specifically for institutional financial applications. Circle has structured the network as a permissioned layer-1, with a validator group that includes major financial institutions and market infrastructure companies such as BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, and Intercontinental Exchange.

Another notable feature is Arc’s use of USDC for gas payments. Rather than requiring participants to acquire a separate volatile native cryptocurrency to pay transaction fees, the network uses the dollar-backed stablecoin for its transaction costs.

That structure could simplify blockchain participation for businesses and financial institutions already operating with dollar-denominated assets. It also reduces the need for corporate users to manage an additional token solely for network fees.

MOVA Connects to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Network

MOVA Chain represents a different application of Chainlink technology. The network focuses on stablecoins and DeFi applications and adopted Chainlink’s CCIP in July 2026.

CCIP provides MOVA with infrastructure for communicating and transferring supported assets across blockchain networks. Instead of developing and maintaining separate bridges to connect with individual networks, applications on MOVA can use Chainlink’s established interoperability framework.

With CCIP now supporting more than 50 blockchain networks, MOVA developers gain access to a broader cross-chain ecosystem while avoiding the need to build independent interoperability infrastructure from scratch.

The expansion also increases the potential connectivity of Chainlink’s broader network. As additional blockchains are integrated, applications operating across those networks can gain access to a growing number of possible cross-chain connections.

Institutional Blockchain Adoption Accelerates

Chainlink’s expansion to Arc comes as traditional financial institutions continue testing blockchain technology for market data, settlement, and asset tokenization. The participation of institutions connected to securities markets gives Arc a different profile from networks primarily focused on cryptocurrency applications.


The presence of DTCC and ICE among Arc’s validators is particularly relevant to financial-market infrastructure. DTCC handles a large share of US securities settlement activity, while ICE operates the New York Stock Exchange. Their involvement highlights the network’s intended connection to established financial markets.

Earlier in 2026, Chainlink also expanded CCIP to MegaETH and World Chain. Chainlink’s Runtime Environment, known as CRE, was deployed on World Chain as part of that expansion. Arc had already made Chainlink services available on its testnet, allowing developers to build and test applications before the mainnet went live.

The combined expansion of Data Feeds, Data Streams, and CCIP gives Arc developers access to core data and interoperability infrastructure while extending Chainlink’s cross-chain network to another institutional blockchain.

The developments point to a broader shift in how blockchain networks are being built for financial applications. Instead of operating as isolated systems, newer networks are increasingly designed to connect with existing blockchain ecosystems and established financial infrastructure.

For developers, the growing Chainlink network can reduce the technical work required to source reliable market data and establish cross-chain communication. For institutions, infrastructure such as Arc‘s USDC-based transaction fees and Chainlink’s interoperability services could provide a more familiar framework for deploying blockchain-based financial applications.

As Chainlink continues adding networks, each integration expands the potential reach of applications operating across the ecosystem, strengthening the role of shared infrastructure in the developing on-chain financial market.
