The service, which includes creating a prototype in just five days, enables a company to quickly deploy blockchain or improve the projects which are already in the process of development.
The Register has stated that Fujitsu’s Blockchain Innovation Centre, which was opened in March, is offering the service for a starting fee of €9,900, which includes everything from fundamental lessons about blockchain technology to precise assessments of the suggested real-world application and creation of the prototype.
From that point onwards, a client is free to invest on further improvement of the product or simple walk away with the completed work on an as-is-where-is basis. Chris Pilling, lead architect at Fujitsu’s Blockchain Innovation Centre, stated,
It would be great to say, yes, we’ve met the proof of business and they want to get the global blockchain team involved… [but] we allow the customer to go away and play with the prototype.
Frederik de Breuck, head of the Blockchain Innovation Centre, opined that the above discussed “proof of business” approach enables a business to concentrate on generating “business value” and stay away from the usual “pitfalls” of blockchain technology based projects.
Ultimately, Fujitsu aims to provide simple and easy way to implement blockchain or improve the projects, which are already in development.
Commenting on the project, Frederik de Breuck stated
Inspired by high levels of interest from our customers, we have created this ready-to-go package not only to jump-start the customers’ blockchain efforts but also to review and improve existing projects. Available immediately across the EMEIA region, we expect this assessment to have a major impact on unlocking blockchain’s potential for business use cases.
Notably, Fujitsu already owns more than 50 patents on blockchain technology. Other blockchain-related services offered by Fujitsu are systems for data storage and data exchange.
Fujitsu is also a founding member of Hyperledger, an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies.
