Casa Unveils iOS, Android Versions of Sats Mobile Wallet
Casa, a firm focused on Bitcoin (BTC) technology, has stated that its Sats mobile Bitcoin wallet app is now being offered for both iOS and Android gadgets. Casa, though an official blog post, stated that the mobile wallet is now offered for download.
Additionally, Casa has pointed out that the recent version of the app can be utilized without the firm’s hardware – Bitcoin Lightning node, but users who avoid connecting the app to a node will have be able to access its Lightning Network Capabilities.
The app is compatible with a public address-naming system named SatsTag. When Bitcoin is remitted using a SatsTag, a new address is obtained from the receiver’s public key and sent to the sender. Usual process of sending by scanning QR codes is possible as usual.
The company also asserts that the wallet is totally non-custodial and that the user has total control of their private key, which is stored on the phone’s safety zone, constantly.
Notably, the company recently released a node monitor and associated rewards program to nurture Bitcoin network strength. Since the end of June, the download of crypto related app has not increased much despite Bitcoin’s rally.
Data provided by mobile app analytics firm App Annie indicated that there were 65.80 million crypto related app downloads in the first half of 2018, while it was 67 million in the first six months of 2019, representing an increase of only 1.82%.
