Bitcoin ATM Count Grows Past 8,000 Worldwide

As per a report published by tracking resource CoinATMRadar, the aggregate number of Bitcoin ATMs has crossed 8,000 globally.

Specifically, 8,208 ATMs in 73 countries facilitate users to purchase and sell Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins for cash. Notably, over 6,000 Bitcoin ATMs are currently operational in the US.

Crypto investors and enthusiasts, depending on the ATM, can buy and sell Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Monero (XMR), Dash (DASH), Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP, Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT) and Zcash (ZEC).

The number of Bitcoin ATMs, also referred to as BTMs has increased 17% since March 2020, when there were 7,000 BTC ATMs. This indicates an increasing public demand for cryptocurrency.

Nevertheless, a major portion of the growth was recorded in the US. CoinATMRadar’s data indicates that the number of BTMs in Austria, Switzerland and the UK fell this year, while Spain did not record any change from last year’s count of 71.
