WordPress Plugin Facilitates Time Stamping Content on Ethereum Blockchain

Contents published through the popular web publishing platform WordPress can now be time stamped on the Ethereum blockchain using a plugin.

The tool can assist in handling copyright problems, provide doubt free proof of the creator of a content and guarantee alteration free content to readers.

WordPress commands a market share of about 37% of content publishing platforms used by websites and has a 60% share of the CMS market.

WordProof, headquartered in Amsterdam, made the announcement at the London BlockDown 2020 3D virtual blockchain event yesterday. Timestamping is crucial because it offers a distinct fingerprint, or hash, for the recent variant of the content which has been included in the blockchain.

This offers proof regarding the owner of the content, in addition to any kind of edits or alterations made. Furthermore, the website will have proof of publishing time, which can be utilized for any kind of copyright issues.

Jelle van der Schoot, Chief of Product at WordProof, stated that the company’s aim is to become the best ergonomical time stamping tool that can utilized in all kinds of content administration platforms and e-commerce solutions. Notably, WordProof is also compatible with Telos and EOS.

WordPress continues to see a rapid integration of crypto related plugins.
