VeChain’s Blockchain to be Used for Validating the Originality of Chase Shiel’s Shoes
Blockchain powered tracking platform VeChain will be utilized for the launch of a limited edition version of licensed Nike Air Max 1 shoes.
In a similar manner, Australian shoe manufacturer Chase Shiel and vendor The Kickz Stand have collaborated to manufacture a fixed quantity of the sneakers, which are also premised on the Stussy’s ‘SB Dunk’ shoe that was rolled out in 2005.
The shoes will be made available for purchase from June 28. Furthermore, it will be sold solely via Chase Shiel’s website.
The Kickz Stand also stated that the limited edition of Air Max 1-motivated shoes will be made available in the market on June 24, with a tweet stressing that the shoes will be tracked utilizing VeChain’s ToolChain Suite and Thor Blockchain.
The Aussie shoe manufacturer disclosed that they were collaborating with VeChain in November 2019, tweeting that the tracking platform would be used to confirm originality and battle fake goods.

While the plan to work together with an authorized shoe manufacturer to guarantee the genuineness of fake Nike product may fascinate some, Redditor ‘Nopers5’ trusts the blockchain company is taking steps to receive an enquiry from actual Nike after they come across VeChain’s effort with licensees:
“This is the best strategy by Vechain. Target the small shoe companies that have released Nike licensed products, and maybe eventually Nike comes calling.”
At the beginning of this month, VeChain revealed collaboration with Walmart’s associate and high-end shopping chain Sam’s Club and the Shenzhen Yuhongtai Foods Company.
