YOM has officially become a member of the Blockchain Game Alliance, a major industry group focused on advancing blockchain adoption within the gaming sector. The alliance includes more than 350 member companies and is supported by prominent industry participants such as Ubisoft, Animoca Brands, The Sandbox, and Polygon.

The membership places YOM among companies actively shaping the future direction of blockchain gaming standards, interoperability frameworks, and decentralized gaming infrastructure. Industry observers view the development as a notable step for YOM, particularly as the gaming industry increasingly explores decentralized technologies capable of supporting large-scale digital ecosystems.

YOM specializes in decentralized cloud gaming infrastructure powered by a distributed network of gamers and GPU contributors. Unlike traditional cloud gaming providers that depend on centralized data centers and company-owned GPU farms, YOM utilizes a decentralized model that routes players through globally distributed GPU resources contributed by network participants.

YOM’s entry into the Blockchain Game Alliance positions the company within a key industry group responsible for guiding blockchain gaming standards and infrastructure development.

Decentralized Infrastructure Aims to Solve Cloud Gaming Challenges

The platform operates through a simplified deployment process in which game publishers upload their titles once, while YOM manages streaming infrastructure, scaling, and worldwide distribution. The company’s artificial intelligence system then connects players to the nearest available GPU resource, helping reduce latency and improve performance consistency.

This decentralized routing system is intended to address long-standing issues that have slowed mainstream cloud gaming adoption. Traditional cloud gaming platforms have often struggled with high infrastructure costs, limited geographic coverage, and latency-related performance problems. By leveraging GPU resources already located closer to players, YOM seeks to deliver faster streaming speeds and more reliable gaming experiences across different regions.

The platform also emphasizes accessibility by enabling users to stream AAA-quality games directly through browsers and devices without requiring specialized hardware setups. Industry analysts believe this model aligns naturally with blockchain gaming’s broader focus on decentralization, digital ownership, and distributed participation.

BGA Membership Expands YOM’s Industry Influence

The Blockchain Game Alliance is widely regarded as one of the most influential collaborative groups within the blockchain gaming industry. Rather than functioning solely as a promotional organization, the alliance serves as a forum where major gaming and blockchain companies discuss policy direction, interoperability standards, digital asset ownership frameworks, and cross-platform gaming economies.

Membership within the alliance allows companies to directly participate in conversations that could shape the next phase of Web3 gaming development. Analysts suggest that firms involved in these discussions may gain strategic advantages by helping establish standards rather than adapting to them later.

YOM’s decentralized cloud gaming model is designed to reduce latency and infrastructure limitations by routing players through distributed GPU resources located closer to end users.

The partnership also reflects a growing recognition that infrastructure providers are becoming increasingly important to the future of blockchain gaming. As blockchain-based games evolve toward higher production quality and more demanding technical requirements, scalable streaming and computing infrastructure are expected to become essential components of the industry.

The growing focus on decentralized infrastructure signals that blockchain gaming companies are prioritizing long-term scalability, interoperability, and mainstream adoption beyond token-driven hype cycles.
