These agents are designed to operate either onchain or within digital environments, performing functions such as social media influencers, onchain traders, or in-game non-playable characters (NPCs).
Jaihoz: A Flagship AI Agent
The collaboration has brought forward Jaihoz, an AI agent inspired by Jeffrey Zirlin, co-founder of Sky Mavis, the creators of Axie Infinity. Virtuals Protocol designed Jaihoz to emulate aspects of Zirlin’s online persona while incorporating additional autonomy and distinct personality traits. Jaihoz is set to engage with users on Ronin’s platform and is also active on social media. However, questions remain about the tangible benefits and impact of these interactions. The popularity of AI agents like Jaihoz has been rapidly increasing in recent weeks.
The Role of the $JAIHOZ Token
At the core of this initiative lies the $JAIHOZ token, a digital asset distributed on the Ronin and Base blockchains. The token’s total supply is capped at 1 billion, making it a vital component of the partnership’s framework. To generate interest, more than 100,000 wallets associated with the Ronin and Virtuals communities received airdropped tokens. Eligibility for this airdrop was based on specific snapshot dates, with recipients including holders of selected non-fungible tokens (NFTs) like Cyberkongz Genkai and Moki Genesis, as well as Ronin stakers and guild participants. While the airdrop aims to integrate these communities into the AI agent ecosystem, the broader effectiveness of this distribution strategy remains uncertain.
Expanding Ronin’s Use Cases
This partnership aligns with Ronin’s broader goal of diversifying its blockchain applications by early 2025. The network, initially built to support Axie Infinity, aims to attract innovative blockchain projects beyond gaming. Virtuals Protocol’s focus on AI agents forms a key part of this vision.
