MoU focuses on evaluating blockchain interoperability without live customer data

Abu Dhabi-based LuLu Financial Holdings (LuLuFin) and CreataChain Pte. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to evaluate CreataChain’s blockchain infrastructure within a controlled sandbox environment, as both companies explore the potential role of blockchain interoperability in future financial services.

Technical assessment to examine smart contracts, wallets, nodes, and multi-chain connectivity

The agreement establishes a technical assessment framework designed to examine the capabilities of CreataChain’s blockchain platform under simulated conditions. The companies emphasized that the evaluation is strictly limited to testing infrastructure and does not involve production systems, live customer information, or regulated financial services.

The MoU establishes a controlled sandbox environment for evaluating CreataChain’s blockchain interoperability while excluding live customer data, production systems, and regulated financial transactions.

Technical Assessment to Focus on Blockchain Infrastructure

Under the agreement, LuLuFin will assess several core components of CreataChain’s technology stack, including its distributed ledger, smart contract capabilities, interoperability features, and developer tools. The objective is to determine the platform’s technical performance and its suitability for potential future integration with enterprise financial infrastructure.

The sandbox testing may include blockchain node deployment, wallet integration, software development kit (SDK) connectivity, smart contract execution, transaction creation and verification, block validation, chain-to-chain communication, and interoperability with external blockchain networks. All testing activities will rely exclusively on synthetic datasets, simulated transactions, and test accounts to eliminate any impact on operational financial systems.

The companies clarified that no live payment processing, remittance services, settlement activities, customer asset transfers, or other regulated financial operations will take place during the evaluation.

As part of the collaboration, LuLuFin will provide technical observations regarding sandbox configuration, operational requirements, infrastructure compatibility, and possible integration pathways. CreataChain will support the assessment by supplying blockchain infrastructure, developer tools, wallet integration resources, smart contract environments, blockchain explorer access, and technical documentation.

Companies Emphasize Structured Evaluation

LuLuFin’s Vice President of Business Transformation, Joseph Cleetus, indicated that innovation within financial services requires disciplined technical assessment in addition to technological progress. He explained that the memorandum establishes a structured process for evaluating emerging blockchain infrastructure in a controlled environment, enabling the company to better understand the platform’s technical capabilities before considering future applications.

CreataChain Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Jin Kim stated that financial institutions typically evaluate blockchain platforms based on how effectively they integrate internal systems, external networks, transaction flows, and verification mechanisms rather than simply assessing whether an individual blockchain operates successfully. She added that the agreement provides an opportunity to demonstrate CreataChain’s broader technology ecosystem, including Zenith, Catena, Lunar Link, wallets, SDKs, and blockchain explorer tools, within an enterprise integration context.

Chief Operating Officer Jeremy Jung explained that the sandbox activities would concentrate on practical integration scenarios, including node deployment, transaction signing and submission, block verification, chain-to-chain messaging, and external network connectivity. He noted that the objective is to demonstrate how the company’s blockchain infrastructure can function beyond isolated testing environments.

No Commercial Financial Services Planned

The companies stressed that the memorandum does not represent the launch or commercialization of payment services, remittances, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, digital asset custody, cryptocurrency exchanges, or any other regulated financial products.

They further indicated that any future regulated activities would require separate commercial agreements, regulatory approvals, compliance reviews, security assessments, and internal authorization processes before implementation.

The companies confirmed that the partnership does not involve the launch of payment services, stablecoins, remittances, digital asset custody, or any other regulated financial products.

Exploring Multi-Chain Blockchain Technology

The collaboration reflects LuLuFin‘s continued interest in evaluating emerging technologies that could influence the future development of financial services.

CreataChain operates a Layer 0 modular blockchain architecture featuring two interconnected networks: the CVM-compatible Catena Chain and the non-CVM Zenith Chain. The platform also incorporates its proprietary Lunar Link interchain protocol, which facilitates real-time transfers of assets and data across multiple blockchain networks.

The evaluation will assess CreataChain’s dual-chain architecture and interoperability technologies to determine their potential for future enterprise blockchain integration.

According to the company, its blockchain infrastructure is designed to support a broad range of applications, including decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), GameFi, real-world asset tokenization, and enterprise decentralized applications. The sandbox assessment is expected to help both organizations determine whether these capabilities could support future financial technology initiatives following additional technical reviews and regulatory considerations.
