Near Partners WEMADE to Aid Blockchain App Development

Near, the open source, carbon-neutral blockchain and developer of the Blockchain Operating System (BOS), announced an alliance with premier blockchain gaming company WEMADE to promote the creation of blockchain applications in Korea as well as other markets.

Together, Near and WEMADE will promote initiatives that increase awareness of the brand; undertake studies and partnerships on cross-chain; hold more community activities such as hacking competitions and boot camps; and explore likely Web3 business possibilities and cultivate the next wave of Web3 coders.

Marieke Flament, CEO of the Near Foundation, commented on the collaboration as follows: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with WEMADE as a component of our common goal for a decentralized era in the gaming sector.” We are optimistic that by joining hands we will be able to speed up the creation of innovative solutions to meet the expanding requirements of Web3 gamers and coders.

WEMADE, an internationally recognized pioneer in creating games, is spearheading a once-in-a-generation transformation as the gaming sector transitions to blockchain technology. Its WEMIX affiliate is constructing an experience-based, platform-led, and service-centered mega-environment that will provide global users with access to a vast array of instinctive, practical, and user-friendly Web3 app and service offerings.

“WEMADE and Near embrace an identical goal of allowing and speeding the widespread adoption of blockchain to build a future with virtually limitless possible applications and advantages for all of us in a variety of aspects of our daily lives,” stated Shane Kim, CEO of WEMIX and Vice President of WEMADE. “To accomplish this, to realize this vision, we need to make it simpler, quicker, as well as affordable for coders to integrate into off-chain applications, organizations, and new businesses, and we are optimistic that this collaboration with the Near Protocol has the potential to do so.”

This is Near’s next significant brand collaboration declaration in Korea, following its prior collaboration with Kakao Games’ METABORA. The World Intellectual Property Organization ranks South Korea within the top ten countries on the Global Innovation Index. South Korea has long been at the vanguard of establishing trends and dominating technological research. From October to November of last year, over $500 million was invested in the Web3 blockchain gaming sector.

Near Protocol recently unveiled its Blockchain Operating System (BOS), which optimizes Near’s Web3 usability and makes Near the entrance point for customers and programmers to the open web. Scott Lee, general manager of the Near Korea Hub, stated. Through BOS, we will achieve effective widespread acceptance in the Korean gaming sector.
