One World Chain Launches Layer 1 Network and Activates OWCT Token

EVM-compatible blockchain introduces staking, cross-chain tools and decentralized applications

one world chain

One World Chain has announced the commercial launch of its Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, alongside the activation of its native digital asset, OWCT. The network uses a Delegated Proof of Stake consensus model and includes a collection of tools designed to support developers, businesses and users building or participating in decentralized applications.

The project aims to establish an integrated blockchain environment supporting smart contracts, cross-chain connectivity, token creation and decentralized financial services. Its EVM compatibility allows developers to deploy standard Solidity-based smart contracts, potentially reducing the technical barriers for teams already familiar with Ethereum development tools.

The launch combines One World Chain’s Layer 1 infrastructure with OWCT, which is designed to support transaction fees, staking, and governance-related participation across the ecosystem.

EVM compatibility targets developers and businesses

One World Chain describes its platform as an open environment for decentralized applications and blockchain-based services. Its architecture is intended to provide transaction processing and application infrastructure while allowing developers to use established Ethereum-compatible programming tools.

The project also identifies transaction efficiency, accessibility, and cross-chain functionality as central elements of its development strategy. Its stated objective is to support applications beyond basic digital asset transfers, including payments, decentralized finance, digital ownership and token-based services.

The network’s Delegated Proof of Stake framework allows validators to participate in transaction validation and network security. Eligible token holders can delegate their assets to validators, supporting network participation without having to operate validator infrastructure themselves.

OWCT token supports network operations

OWCT serves as the native utility asset of One World Chain. According to the project’s published token information, it is used to pay transaction fees and supports staking and participation in network governance.

The project lists a maximum supply of 21 million OWCT, with 18 decimal places. Its token framework describes the supply as fixed and non-inflationary, with no additional native currency intended to be issued beyond that limit.

Users interacting with smart contracts, transferring assets, or accessing decentralized applications require the network’s native asset to pay applicable transaction fees. Staking and delegation also connect OWCT to the network’s consensus structure, allowing eligible participants to support validators and take part in governance processes.

However, the token’s practical utility will depend on actual network activity, application adoption, and participation. The stated supply limit alone does not establish future demand or market performance.

Cross-chain bridge and developer tools expand ecosystem

One World Chain has introduced several applications intended to support different activities across its network. These include the OWCT Bridge, validator staking services, token creation tools, a multisender application, and decentralized swapping functionality.

The OWCT Bridge is designed to facilitate transfers of supported assets between One World Chain and external networks, including Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base. Cross-chain infrastructure can help users access assets and applications across separate blockchain environments, although bridge availability, transaction fees and security risks remain important considerations.

The network’s token creator is intended to simplify the creation of compatible digital assets. Its multisender tool supports distribution to multiple wallet addresses, potentially helping projects manage community rewards, token allocations, and other distribution activities.

The ecosystem also includes IceCreamSwap for decentralized token swapping. In addition, the project identifies BLAST Chain as a zkEVM-compatible Layer 2 network built on One World Chain, extending its infrastructure beyond the core Layer 1 network.

Validator participation and network governance

Under the DPoS model, validators help maintain the blockchain by processing transactions and securing network operations. Token holders can delegate their holdings to eligible validators, while validators also have a role in governance decisions concerning network development.

The project’s long-term performance will depend partly on the reliability and independence of its validator environment, the distribution of network influence and the consistency of its technical operations.

Project focuses on long-term ecosystem growth

One World Chain founder Abraham Inetianbor said the project’s priorities include developing infrastructure that developers can use, providing accessible tools for users and encouraging meaningful participation from businesses and communities. He also identified OWCT as an important component of the network’s operating framework.

The project’s longer-term prospects will depend on attracting independent developers, expanding application usage, and demonstrating reliable network performance rather than relying solely on the launch of its technology and native token.

The commercial launch establishes the infrastructure and initial tools for One World Chain‘s ecosystem. Its progress will now be measured by developer engagement, user adoption, network reliability, and the practical applications built on the platform.
