Securitize Adds UAE-Based ADI Chain to Tokenization Network

Securitize has integrated ADI Chain into its tokenization infrastructure, adding the UAE-based blockchain to the networks that can support eligible tokenized financial products.

The integration, announced on Sept. 30, expands the blockchain infrastructure available to products issued through Securitize. However, the move does not mean that all Securitize products will automatically become available on ADI Chain. Individual deployments will remain subject to the structure of each product as well as applicable regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.

The integration gives eligible Securitize products a pathway to use ADI Chain for issuance and related blockchain infrastructure, expanding the network options available for tokenized financial assets.

ADI Chain Targets Payments and Real-World Assets

ADI Chain is built around applications involving stablecoins, real-world assets, payments, and settlement. The network is also associated with DDSC, a dirham-backed stablecoin initiated by International Holding Company and First Abu Dhabi Bank and licensed by the UAE Central Bank, according to the ADI Foundation.

The addition of ADI Chain gives Securitize access to infrastructure with a particular focus on digital assets and payment-related applications. That could become relevant for financial products requiring connections between tokenized assets, settlement infrastructure, and stablecoin-based transactions.

The integration itself does not create a new tokenized investment product or guarantee that existing Securitize products will be deployed on ADI Chain. Instead, it establishes the technical pathway for qualifying products to use the network when product, regulatory, and geographic conditions allow.

Securitize Expands Its Multichain Strategy

The ADI Chain integration follows a series of deployments by Securitize across multiple blockchain networks as the company develops infrastructure for tokenized financial products.

In August, Securitize and Neuberger Berman launched the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund, known as HINC, across Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana and Sui. The fund primarily invests in high-yield bonds, along with collateralized loan obligations, bank loans, and other fixed-income assets. Participation is restricted to eligible investors.

The HINC deployment demonstrated how a single financial product can be supported across several blockchain networks. The addition of ADI Chain provides another potential infrastructure option for future eligible products.

By adding ADI Chain to its network infrastructure, Securitize is expanding its multichain approach to tokenized financial products while maintaining product-specific regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.

UAE Positioning Adds Regional Dimension

Securitize Chief Executive Carlos Domingo has identified the UAE as a potential connection point between international investors and regulated financial products.

The company has also pointed to the broader investment potential of emerging markets, particularly regions with growing numbers of new investors. Securitize views the UAE as a possible hub for connecting investors across these markets with regulated financial products originating in different parts of the world.

Those comments describe the company’s broader market strategy, but the ADI Chain integration itself does not establish investor access to any specific country or market. Availability will depend on individual products, investor eligibility, and applicable regulations.

Tokenized Securities Face Changing Rules

The expansion comes as regulators continue developing rules for tokenized securities and blockchain-based market infrastructure.

On Sept. 17, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission introduced a temporary five-year Innovation Exemption covering certain permissioned venues and liquidity providers involved in trading eligible tokenized NMS stocks.

The framework includes conditions involving eligible securities, trading volumes, disclosures, technology safeguards, and issuer notification for certain third-party tokenized stocks. It does not cover synthetic instruments that merely provide price exposure without representing ownership of the underlying stock.

Securitize subsequently outlined requirements for operating under the framework. The U.S. regulatory initiative is separate from the ADI Chain integration but reflects the wider regulatory environment in which tokenized financial products are being developed.

More Blockchain Networks Enter Tokenization

Securitize’s recent deployments illustrate an increasingly multichain approach to tokenized financial products. Rather than limiting products to one blockchain, the company has used different networks for tokenized funds and securities based on product and infrastructure requirements.

ADI Chain adds another option with a particular emphasis on payments, stablecoins, real-world assets, and settlement.

The practical impact of the integration will depend on which Securitize products eventually use ADI Chain and whether eligible investors and institutions adopt those offerings.

For now, the announcement represents an infrastructure expansion rather than the launch of a new financial product. It gives eligible Securitize products another potential blockchain environment while leaving deployment decisions subject to regulatory, product, and jurisdictional requirements.
