DevDAO has announced the introduction of its managed infrastructure platform, Developer DAO Cloud, marking a strategic expansion of its services for Web3 builders. The platform is launching with a managed, high-performance blockchain node offering that initially supports eight different chains. This move reflects DevDAO’s broader goal of simplifying infrastructure deployment while improving performance and cost efficiency for developers operating across decentralized networks.
To enhance the diversity, reliability, and resilience of its node infrastructure, DevDAO has partnered with Pocket Network. Through this collaboration, DevDAO aims to provide a service that is both more affordable and more efficient than established infrastructure providers such as Infura, as well as other network peers. The underlying codebase has been heavily optimized, including the removal of garbage collection processes, which helps reduce latency spikes and lowers operational costs for end users.
Differentiation Through Efficiency and Reliability
While remote procedure call provisioning is a well-established segment of Web3 infrastructure, DevDAO has positioned its offering around cost competitiveness, operational simplicity, and dependable performance. Following a comprehensive refactoring of its systems, the organization has reported improved returns on investment by eliminating unnecessary compute overhead.
DevDAO’s long-standing collaboration with Pocket Network, along with its experience within the Pocket Governance and Advisory Team ecosystem, enabled the development of an infrastructure service that emphasizes reliability, pricing efficiency, and network variety. An additional benefit of this design is the ability for surplus compute capacity from DevDAO-owned infrastructure to be resold back into Pocket Network’s supply layer. This model resembles distributed energy systems in which excess production can be redirected back to a shared grid, creating efficiencies for both providers and the broader network.
Simplifying the Developer Experience
Developer DAO Cloud has been designed to abstract much of the complexity traditionally associated with deploying and managing infrastructure. The platform aims to streamline workflows by handling the operational layers that often distract developers from application development. Over time, DevDAO intends to support a wide range of software workloads, including web applications, databases, and servers, all managed through its container runtime environment.
The approach has been compared to modern developer platforms such as Vercel, though DevDAO’s focus is specifically on cost optimization and a more expressive infrastructure offering for Web3 use cases. By pursuing vertical integration across internet infrastructure layers, DevDAO is working toward delivering competitive pricing, improved performance, and a more seamless developer experience.
BREAKING NEWS 📢 @developer_dao is changing the game for developer infrastructure with DevDAO Cloud:
✅ Integrated RPC supply/demand management, with resale of excess back to the network (similar to homeowners reselling excess solar panel production back to the utility grid).

Vision for Vertically Integrated Web3 Infrastructure
DevDAO leadership has communicated that the long-term vision for Developer DAO Cloud extends well beyond blockchain node services. The organization plans to eventually provide virtual machines, cloud runtimes, and storage solutions directly to users. This strategy is built on DevDAO’s established developer community, its active social presence, and its partnership with Pocket Network.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with such an incredible group of people at @POKTnetwork to help bring D_D Cloud to life 🙌
Cheers on launch and the continued collaboration ahead! https://t.co/gayJlNEmXc

By combining these strengths, DevDAO aims to simplify the deployment of Web3 infrastructure without sacrificing flexibility or functionality. The broader objective is to ensure that both developers and end users can access robust infrastructure tools while avoiding the complexity and high costs often associated with traditional cloud providers.
Flexible Integration and Payment Models
From an integration standpoint, Developer DAO Cloud has been designed for ease of adoption. Developers can connect to supported blockchains using a single URL-based RPC endpoint that plugs directly into existing blockchain software development kits. This structure removes the need for teams to manage underlying infrastructure or DevOps processes, allowing them to concentrate on building and scaling applications.
The platform is expected to support multiple pricing and payment models, including subscriptions and usage-based payments. Transactions will primarily be conducted using stablecoins through an in-house payment processor, with support for fiat payments planned for future releases.
Mutual Benefits of the Partnership
Pocket Network has highlighted that the collaboration aligns closely with its own objectives of increasing network resilience and performance. The partnership is expected to improve low-latency access and fault tolerance for DevDAO’s users while simultaneously expanding capacity on Pocket Network’s supply side. Together, the two organizations are positioning the partnership as an example of how aligned incentives can drive more robust, cost-effective, and resilient Web3 infrastructure for developers worldwide.
