0G Labs has introduced its latest innovation, Ghast AI, a Web3-native assistant designed to redefine how users interact with artificial intelligence. The platform was launched in beta as part of the broader vision to decentralize AI systems and return control of data and interactions to users. Ghast AI is positioned as a major step toward reshaping AI ownership by enabling individuals to manage and monetize their interactions in a decentralized environment.
The company behind the launch, known for developing a blockchain infrastructure tailored for AI agents, has secured significant financial backing. Industry observers noted that the project raised $40 million in seed funding and received token commitments valued at $250 million from prominent investors, including Hack VC, Delphi Digital, OKX Ventures, Samsung Next, and Bankless Ventures.
Infrastructure Powering the Ecosystem
The Ghast AI assistant operates on the Aristotle Mainnet, which was launched in September 2025 to support a full-stack AI ecosystem. Analysts explained that this infrastructure includes an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, decentralized computing capabilities, and a distributed storage system capable of processing data at speeds reaching 2 GB per second. In addition, the platform’s data availability layer was reported to significantly outperform alternatives, offering faster processing and lower costs compared to Ethereum data availability solutions.
The 0G Foundation was described as playing a central role in driving the project’s expansion. It supports development initiatives, distributes grants, and facilitates community governance to advance the goal of making artificial intelligence broadly accessible and publicly beneficial.
Privacy-Focused Design and User Control
Unlike conventional AI platforms that rely on centralized servers for storing and monetizing user data, Ghast AI has been built entirely on decentralized infrastructure. Experts noted that all user interactions are encrypted and stored on-chain through 0G’s storage layer, ensuring that even the platform itself cannot access private data. This architecture enables users to synchronize their AI assistants across devices without relying on centralized systems, thereby maintaining full control over personal information.
Introducing Memory as a Tradeable Asset
One of the platform’s most notable innovations is its concept of Memory as Asset. Through 0G’s Agent ID system, users are able to convert their AI conversation history and contextual data into portable on-chain assets. Analysts emphasized that this feature represents a significant shift in how AI-generated data is perceived, allowing users to own, transfer, and even trade their digital memory.

This development was interpreted as a first-of-its-kind approach in the AI sector, potentially opening new economic models within Web3 ecosystems. By transforming user-generated AI data into assets, Ghast AI introduces new possibilities for value creation and digital ownership.
Couldn’t agree more.
Right now, most people are spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars training AI assistants from scratch that end up with nearly identical capabilities. it’s an enormous waste of resources.

Early Adoption and Market Positioning
During its beta phase, Ghast AI reportedly onboarded more than 830 users and processed over 30 million inference tokens, indicating strong early engagement from the decentralized AI community. Observers suggested that this early traction reflects growing interest in privacy-focused and user-controlled AI solutions.
The platform has been described as a reference application within the 0G ecosystem, similar to how leading decentralized applications have defined major blockchain networks. Analysts indicated that Ghast AI could play a pivotal role in shaping the future of decentralized AI infrastructure and expanding the range of AI-powered Web3 applications.
Vision for User-Centric AI
The project’s leadership conveyed that the foundational philosophy behind Ghast AI centers on ensuring that AI systems serve users rather than extract value from them. The co-founder, Songsu, was reported to have explained that the introduction of tradeable on-chain memory allows users to gain true ownership over their AI experiences for the first time.
The beta version of Ghast AI is currently accessible through limited invitation codes distributed via the project’s community channels, marking the beginning of what could become a transformative shift in the intersection of artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
