CrossHub has entered into a strategic agreement with three of Vietnam’s leading national universities to deploy blockchain-based digital student identification systems. The collaboration includes Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and University of Da Nang, collectively serving approximately 210,000 students and faculty members.
The agreement was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at the Hanoi IT Support Center under the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. CrossHub indicated that its proprietary solutions, IDBlock for identity authentication and B-Pay for digital payments, would form the technological backbone of the initiative. The project is expected to significantly enhance campus operations by introducing secure, blockchain-powered identity verification systems.
Expanding a Regional Initiative into a National Model
The initiative reportedly originated from earlier discussions between CrossHub and Vietnamese academic institutions, which began after a university leadership visit to South Korea late last year. The project has since expanded to include multiple major universities, reflecting growing institutional interest in digital transformation.
Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University operate under direct oversight of the Prime Minister’s Office, highlighting their national significance. Meanwhile, the University of Da Nang is recognized as one of the largest academic institutions in the country. By targeting these prominent universities, CrossHub appears to be positioning the project as a scalable model that could be replicated across Vietnam’s education system.
The agreement enables the deployment of blockchain-based digital student IDs across three major universities, serving approximately 210,000 users.
Integration of IoT and Payment Systems
In addition to digital identity services, the project will incorporate Internet of Things technologies to enhance campus infrastructure. These systems are expected to support functions such as entry and exit management, as well as surveillance capabilities. To facilitate this, CrossHub has partnered with Daeyang C.I.S, a leading provider of related hardware solutions.
Under this arrangement, CrossHub will oversee software development and authentication services, while Daeyang C.I.S will manage hardware deployment and system integration. The collaboration aims to introduce advanced technology solutions into a market that has traditionally relied on lower-cost systems, potentially raising the standard for digital infrastructure in the education sector.
The project combines blockchain identity verification with IoT-based campus systems, integrating access control, surveillance, and payment solutions.
Government Support and Expansion Plans
Local authorities in Vietnam have demonstrated strong support for the initiative, offering incentives designed to encourage long-term investment. In Da Nang, CrossHub has been granted access to operational space within the city’s innovation startup support center for an extended period, along with tax benefits on corporate income.
The company has indicated plans to present the digital student ID system as a model case to Vietnam’s Ministry of Education, with the goal of expanding the solution nationwide. Additionally, CrossHub is preparing to establish a joint venture headquarters in Vietnam, with further announcements expected during the opening of its local office.
To strengthen research and development efforts, the company also intends to launch an artificial intelligence-focused open lab in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City National University. This initiative is expected to promote industry-academia partnerships and foster innovation in emerging technologies.
CrossHub plans to expand the digital ID system nationwide while establishing AI research collaborations and a joint venture headquarters in Vietnam.
Global Expansion Strategy Continues
Alongside its activities in Vietnam, CrossHub is accelerating its global expansion strategy. The company has been selected for a government-backed program aimed at supporting international market entry and plans to establish a presence in China’s Shandong Province. This move will add to its existing operations across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
