Fantasy Top, an Ethereum-based non-fungible token (NFT) game, has extended its presence by integrating with the newly launched layer-one blockchain, Monad. This development allows users on the Monad network to participate in the game by claiming a set of 15 cards, competing for rewards, and securing spots on an exclusive whitelist, which includes over 5,000 entries.
The announcement from Fantasy Top highlighted that the first competition on the Monad blockchain would commence soon, with participants being given a limited timeframe to familiarize themselves with the mechanics and build their decks accordingly.

Initially launched on the Ethereum layer-2 network Blast, Fantasy Top has now expanded its scope by adopting Monad, a blockchain compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This compatibility ensures that smart contracts originally designed for Ethereum can be executed on Monad with minimal or no modifications. The decision to make new blockchains EVM-compatible remains a common practice in the industry, as Ethereum’s Solidity programming language has the most extensive developer base specializing in smart contract development.
Fantasy Top’s Unique Approach to Fantasy Sports Gaming
Unlike conventional fantasy sports games that rely on real-world athletes, Fantasy Top operates within the crypto ecosystem by featuring prominent influencers from the X platform—formerly known as Twitter. These influencers, referred to as “heroes” within the game, accumulate points based on their social media engagement rather than traditional sports metrics such as goals or assists.
Players can strategically include hero cards representing well-known crypto influencers in their lineup for each competition cycle. The recent expansion onto the Monad blockchain brings additional hero cards into circulation, enhancing gameplay options and competition dynamics.
